About
This is the Pafos Episkopi (don't confuse it with the British base village near Limassol of the same name) — a small restored old village on the west side of the Ezousa river valley, 11 kilometres north-east of Pafos. It belongs to a small cluster of villages known as 'the villages of Minthi' — Kallepia, Tsada, Episkopi, and the Minthis Hills development — that have grouped together to promote rural tourism around the lush Ezousa valley. The geological setting is unusual: limestone cliffs, year-round springs, and a notable diversity of birds and Mediterranean flora packed into a small area. A guide of valley walks is available locally. Traditional stone houses, a small village church, and a couple of restored agritourism guesthouses make it a quiet base for the lower-altitude western half of Cyprus, neither at the beach nor in the high mountains but somewhere agreeable in between.
