Turkish Cypriot coalition largely silent over failed Turkish bill to change northern Cyprus’ name

The Turkish Cypriot ruling coalition was largely silent on Friday over a bill which was put forward to and eventually rejected by the Turkish parliament late on Thursday night, demanding that the north be called the “Turkish Republic of Cyprus”.
