One in five school buses cleared by private inspectors failed state checks, audit finds

Some private vehicle inspection centres (IKTEO) are playing with the safety, and potentially the lives, of schoolchildren, an Audit Service report has found, after 19% of school buses inspected and cleared as suitable by private centres were subsequently judged unsuitable when checked at state inspection centres (KEMO).
