Man denies guilt over March Larnaca hostage situation

A 36-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to 11 charges relating to the abduction of two women who lived in a Larnaca apartment in March, whom he allegedly threatened with a knife.

The man was arrested last March and referred directly for trial before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca. The court has set October 12 as the date the trial will begin. Until then, the 36-year-old will remain in custody....
