Kornos fire suspects say fireworks were “just for fun”

Kofinou police station is continuing its investigation into a fire that broke out in a forested area near Kornos last Sunday, after arresting a 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Brazil, as suspects.

A couple driving through the area spotted the two suspects lighting fireworks near the forest at around 7pm on Sunday, sparking the fire....
