Israeli tourist cutback costs Cyprus €33m

Cyprus tourism revenue crashed 33.8% in March, with official figures showing the collapse in Israeli visitor numbers as the dominant cause of a loss the industry warns will be difficult to recover.

The Statistical Service published figures on Tuesday showing tourism receipts fell to €85.6 million in March 2026, down from €129.4 million in March 2025, a drop of €43.8 million.
