Helios tragedy marks 21st anniversary

Cyprus marks 21 years on Friday since Helios Airways Flight 522 crashed into the hills near Grammatiko, Greece, killing all 121 people on board, including 22 children and six crew members.

On 14 August 2005, the aircraft departed from Larnaca airport, bound for Prague with an intermediate stop in Athens. When the aircraft entered the airspace of Athens at 10.15am, there was no contact with the control tower....
