Greece secures LNG exemption as EU moves forward with new sanctions against Russia

The European Union today agreed to impose a new round of sanctions against Russia, marking the 21st sanctions package since February 2022. Greece however has been granted an exemption, after their veto had until now prevented a deal.
The package granted Greece a one-year exemption allowing EU companies to transfer Russian LNG to third countries, with an automatic renewal. Sanctions require unanimity to be adopted....
