Family reports ransom demand for missing student

Concern is mounting for Sahruar Ahmed Emon, a 22-year-old student from Bangladesh who has been missing in Cyprus since June 12, after his father told police that unknown persons contacted him claiming to have kidnapped his son and were demanding a ransom.

Emon left the house he shares with others in Oroklini at 6:30pm on Friday, June 12, telling the people he lives with that he was heading to a factory in Kofinou, where he was due to start a new job....
