Erdoğan’s party AKP opens office in listed historic building in Nicosia

A historic building listed as an “ancient monument” in Selimiye Square in occupied Nicosia has been converted into a representative office of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP), without the required permits and in breach of the conditions under which it was approved for restoration, according to Turkish Cypriot newspaper Yeni Duzen.
