Dhekelia power fault triggers electricity cuts in various parts of Cyprus

A technical fault at Dhekelia early this morning caused power cuts in various areas of Cyprus, the Cyprus Transmission System Operator (TSO) said.

The TSO said in a statement that the fault occurred at 6:50am and caused the loss of Production Unit AT/S 4 at Dhekelia Power Station, which was carrying a load of 51 MW, resulting in load shedding in various areas of Cyprus....
