Cyprus police seize drugs, cash and knives in two arrests

Police arrested and detained two men, aged 51 and 47, on Tuesday midday to help with questioning as part of an investigation into suspected illegal drug possession.

Anti-Drugs Unit (YKAN) officers stopped a car on a road in the Nicosia district as part of ongoing evidence-gathering, driven by the 51-year-old. A search turned up 90 grams of dried plant matter and a half-smoked hand-rolled cigarette containing cannabis. Police arrested the man for a flagrant offence and took him into custody....
