Cypriot para powerlifting Paralympian Maria Markou has reported a serious incident at her home while she was abroad representing Cyprus, saying an unknown person broke into the property and stole her scooter.
Markou, who is also Cyprus’s baton bearer for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, said in a social media post that an unknown person had attempted to enter her home in the Agios Spyridonas area of Limassol and, on a second occasion, managed to gain access and steal the scooter....
