Cyprus food prices above EU average for dairy and oils but cheaper for meat and vegetables

Cyprus pays significantly more than the EU average for dairy products and oils but less for meat, vegetables and fruit, according to Eurostat data for 2025.

The price index for milk, cheese and eggs in Cyprus stood at 127.1 units, against an EU-21 average of 99.9 units — 28.8% above the European benchmark.
