CY-Alert goes live: Cyprus can now send emergency warnings directly to your phone

Cyprus activated its CY-Alert emergency warning system on Tuesday, enabling authorities to send real-time alerts directly to mobile phones in affected areas.

Alerts reach all compatible mobile devices within a designated zone regardless of network provider or SIM card origin, and will override a phone’s silent mode.
