A French partner for the Greece–Cyprus Electricity Interconnector

A welcome piece of news landed the day before yesterday, one with real geopolitical and economic weight. In Athens, an agreement has been signed for the French firm Meridiam to take a majority stake in the Greece–Cyprus Electricity Interconnector. By all accounts from Athens, this clears the way for work to resume on the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI).
